Ben Fhurst from Lucky Life Music is off to a great start to the year! Before summer has even dawned upon us, he’s got a load of quality gigs launching him into our European summer season. He’s just returned from his annual Amsterdam Boat Party for Kings Day on the canals along with Mike M setting up the party, playing Pacha Ibiza this Wednesday 10 May along with all the label boys, and then he’s off to Greece for his debut showcase (and cheeky holiday) out on another beautiful part of Europe in the summer sunshine. Ben Fhurst really has shown us how to Live and Love a Lucky Life!!

Last week, Ben put his techno to the test as took on the decks right after Harvey McKay at ‘B12 The Gallery’ for the Shockabuku & Technohumos party. A wicked venue, in the middle of a beautiful decorated Art Gallery, somewhere in the middle of a truly techno feel industrial area of ibiza, and fitted with a really strong, bass heavy sound system, ‘B12 The Gallery’ was the perfect place for Ben to try out some of our new tracks ahead of the summer. We had some good support from the crew, with Trevor O’Neil, Nelson ‘Afroboogie’, Angus and some new crew in from the UK down for a dance and support. Track of the night for me was for sure the new collaboration between Ben Fhurst and Rufus White, conveyor-belt, which they had just finished up mastering in the studio that afternoon. Looking forward to seeing where this one gets airtime this summer. Congrats to Ben Fhurst, a great set played after the techno legend Harvey McKay, you held the dancefloor and kept em dancing till the very last minute we were allowed in The Gallery.

Shockabuku and TechnoHumos are well known for their parties in Greece and Barcelona and are starting off their summer series of events with a great line up of Ibiza DJ’s, and, headline acts you techno lovers most definitely do not want to miss. This first week starting off with Harvey Mckay.

Harvey has been described by Mixmag as ‘probably the techno pages most regular contributor’, Harvey McKay has created a distinctive style with a name that is synonymous with driving, soulful techno.

Last summer, Lucky Life filmed Harvey McKay play at Space Ibiza alongside Mark Reeve on the Terrace for Onyx on Mondays.
